Neurodivergent Course
This workshop will explore the relationship between neurodivergence and birth trauma, drawing on lived experience and emerging evidence to highlight the barriers faced by neurodivergent parents. It will examine how differences in communication, sensory processing, routine, informed consent and emotional regulation can influence maternity experiences, and identify practical approaches that professionals can take to provide more personalised, trauma-informed and inclusive care. Participants will leave with a greater understanding of how recognising and responding to neurodivergent needs can improve experiences, reduce the risk of trauma and help ensure every parent feels heard, respected and supported throughout their maternity journey.
The Team
“Please can I say a huge thank you for the 3 days training you have provided to the team. Your attention to detail is exemplary – we have all felt engaged, informed and educated. I am beyond impressed that whilst the training has been delivered virtually you have connected with us regularly through the chat and break-out rooms. I don’t think I have ever felt as heard in a virtual setting, we have so much to take away, reflect on and implement into our service.”
