Birth Reflections Training

This year we are offering an updated Birth Reflections training programme, including a free webinar and two half-day workshops.

Thank you so much for the training! It has been so good to do and even better to know that trauma informed care is really being cemented and making birth better. We work with many clients who have suffered trauma at the time of giving birth and others who have retriggered earlier childhood trauma by experiencing pregnancy and birth for themselves. It is so good that medical and counselling professionals can work together like this to benefit all who experience pregnancy and birth.

Join our Free Webinar

Join us on Wednesday 28th Jan at 1pm where Dr Rebecca Moore will explore the research into birth debriefing.

Birth debriefing is increasingly offered as part of postnatal care, but what does the evidence actually say? In this webinar, Dr Moore will explore the research into birth debriefing - unpacking what works, what doesn’t, and what truly supports parents after birth. Together, we’ll reflect on the findings and consider their implications for compassionate, trauma-informed care.

Can’t make it live? Sign up and the recording will be available after the session.

Birth Reflections Workshop 1:

Setting Up Supportive Spaces

Live training on Monday 9th February, 9.30am–12.30pm (Zoom) with Perinatal Psychiatrist Dr Rebecca Moore and Psychotherapist Natasha Williams.

This practical workshop explores how to create and run safe, effective Birth Reflections sessions for women, birthing people, and their partners.

Participants will examine the key components involved in setting up a Birth Reflections service, including:

  • Process design and preparation

  • Boundaries and appropriate documentation

  • What parents typically expect from a reflections session

  • How to prepare parents beforehand

  • How to hold compassionate, contained conversations that support processing and meaning-making

The session also includes tools for trauma-informed listening, managing emotional responses, and knowing when and how to signpost to additional support.

This training costs £179 (or 3 x payments of £60). If you wish to book onto both workshops we offer a bundle deal of £295 (or 3 x payments of £99). You will get 6 months access to recordings.

  • The purpose and limits of a birth debrief

  • How to validate experiences without re-traumatising

  • Balancing clinical accuracy with emotional sensitivity

Through real examples and guided practice, participants will learn how to structure helpful discussions, identify challenges, avoid common pitfalls, and offer clear next steps. The aim is to ensure every parent feels heard, understood, and safely supported.

This training costs £179 (or 3 x payments of £60). If you wish to book onto both workshops we offer a bundle deal of £295 (or 3 x payments of £99). You will get 6 months access to recordings.
