Happy 5th birthday to us!

We are 5! Happy birthday to us! We all came together in London at Good Company and cheersed to five amazing years of Make Birth Better. We hugged, laughed, talked and celebrated us, everyone who supports us and, of course, all the great things we have achieved and the change we see happening.

“I was able to understand what I was going through thanks to you”, “I could not have been the person I am today without you”, “You have given me so much” - hearing these wonderful words from someone whilst being able to look them in the eyes, as they are standing right in front of you, is everything. And the hug afterwards is the most rewarding cherry on the cake.

How amazing it was to celebrate our 5th birthday in London at Good Company (go check them out - they brew life-changing coffee by day and planet-saving beer by night) in such good company!

I could not have been the person I am today without you

Being able to celebrate five years of Make Birth Better together with our team, everyone who as supported us (some from the very start) and everyone who has felt supported by us was just magical. Sparks and goosebumps and out of this world.

It has absolutely warmed our hearts and fuelled us for at least the next five years.

Here’s a little impression of the celebrations.

We felt very honoured to have live music from the incredible Claire Tonti - who was generous enough to include our party in her UK album release tour! Claire is a Naarm (Australia) based singer-songwriter and mother of two little humans, 3 and 7. In February 2023, Claire released her debut album Matrescence - a collection of eleven intimate indie folk songs that explore the complexities of mothering through her own story and the stories of the women she is privileged to know. Claire’s music encompasses love, loss, identity, mothering as a creative, overcoming birth trauma, breastfeeding challenges and postnatal depression. You can listen to the tunes of her song Free on our video montage.

Thank you so much to everyone who came and everyone who has supported us the last five years! Bring on the next five!
